Description
This is one of the few inhabited communities inside a Volcano crater in the world, it busted the rim up unevenly with a huge explosion that cause for the locals to refer to it as The Anton Valley (“El Valle de Antón” in Spanish).
The debris blasted all over the Pacific side of the country centuries ago with the mixed white and black volcanic sand you can find in the beaches between Chame to Santa Clara, “The Painted Stone” which is a bolder that landed on the trail where we can find it in today with petrogliphs of a map made by an ancient pre columbian civilizations and the mineral mud baths are also commonly cited as evidence of the volcanic identity of the place.
