San Felipe and Panamá Viejo Walking Tours

San Felipe and Panamá Viejo Walking Tours are a way to learn more about panamanian culture and our World Heritage Sites, tell us what you would like to do:

  • the main site is the trendy new City of Panama’s colonial city San Felipe,
    • rebuilt 8 kms. (5 miles) west from where the first city lies in ruins,
    • since 1671 when it was burn down to avoid losing it to Cptn. Henry Morgan,
    • The new city grew from the low density city founded 2 years later in 1673.
  • Or Panama Viejo, the ruined city first founded with the name:
    • Nuestra Señora de la Asunción de Panamá
      • It became the first city founded on the Pacific side of the New World in 1519,
      • Featuring a museum, library, world heritage site ruins of the city destroyed in 1671.
